Shark Tank Australia introduces two new investors, Maxine Horne and Nick Bell, joining the panel for its 2024 season. The pair join returning “Sharks” Davie Fogarty, Jane Lu, and Robert Herjavec.
Maxine Horne, a former telco executive from Queensland, has had a diverse business career. She started with a single mobile phone store on the Gold Coast, which grew into the publicly listed Vita Group. Horne became Australia’s highest-paid female CEO during the group’s peak. Her business success is evident.
Melburnian Nick Bell, the second new Shark, is a serial entrepreneur with a net worth estimated at over $500 million. He is a tech-savvy investor with a portfolio including AI, longevity technologies, digital marketing, and app development. Bell manages Superist, a digital agency group with 2,000 employees, and has founded other ventures such as First Page, Removify, and Super Young.
The existing Sharks will face a challenge with these two new additions. Returning Shark Davie Fogarty has found success with The Oodie, a well-known wearable blanket brand, and mentors over 200 e-commerce companies. Jane Lu, CEO of Showpo, a global fashion brand, is independent and business-savvy, with a large social media following. Robert Herjavec, the original Shark, is known for his investments across 15 seasons of Shark Tank in three countries.
Shark Tank is a SPT’s Curio Pictures production for Channel 10.
