Jennifer Tilly, an American–Canadian actress and professional poker player, joins Sherri to discuss her role in the new season of Chucky, airing on USA and SYFY Networks. Tilly, known for her distinctive breathy voice and comedic timing, has received several accolades, including a Saturn Award, a Fantasporto Award, and a GLAAD Award. She gained recognition for her supporting role as Olive Neal in Bullets Over Broadway (1994), earning an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. In addition to her acting career, Tilly has found success in the world of poker. She has appeared on poker shows, such as Celebrity Poker Showdown and Poker After Dark, and has won notable poker tournaments, including a World Series of Poker bracelet in 2005.
Karine Jean-Pierre, the current White House press secretary, sits down with Sherri to discuss her accomplished career and her historic role as the first Black person and the first openly queer person to serve in this position. Jean-Pierre, who has worked in politics for several years, previously served as deputy press secretary to Jen Psaki and as chief of staff for Vice Presidential candidate Kamala Harris during the 2020 election. She has also worked as a senior advisor to Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign and served as a political analyst for NBC News and MSNBC. Jean-Pierre’s book, “Moving Forward: A Story of Hope, Hard Work, and the Promise of America,” chronicles her journey and her perspective on an inclusive America.
