On the Monday May 20 episode of The Sherri Shepherd Show, host Sherri Shepherd shares her humorous take on the latest headlines, while actor Kadeem Hardison discusses his role in “The Chi.” The show also shines a spotlight on legendary talk show host Sally Jessy Raphael.
Kadeem Hardison, known for his roles in “A Different World” and “White Men Can’t Jump,” joins the show to talk about his current work on “The Chi.” Hardison, an American actor born in Brooklyn, New York City, rose to prominence as Dwayne Wayne in “A Different World.” He has also ventured into directing and made an appearance on FOX’s “Househusbands of Hollywood.”
The legendary Sally Jessy Raphael, known for her long-running self-titled talk show, will be featured in a segment on “Sherri.” Raphael, born in Easton, Pennsylvania, began her career in media at a local AM radio station, WFAS, in Scarsdale, New York. She went on to work in both radio and television in Puerto Rico, where she met and became friends with talk show host Larry King. Raphael’s talk show, which ran from 1983 to 2002, was one of the first challengers to Phil Donahue’s rule over daytime talk TV. Her trademark red-framed glasses and common-sense manner appealed to audiences, and she was named one of the 25 Greatest Television Talk Show Hosts of all time by Talkers Magazine in 2002.
