On Thursday, May 23, The Sherri Shepherd Show welcomes stage and screen actor Kyra Sedgwick, New York Times bestselling author Michael Arceneaux, and lifestyle expert Brittney Levine.
Sedgwick will discuss her new play, “All of Me,” and her upcoming film, “Bad Shabbos,” premiering at the 2024 Tribeca Festival. Arceneaux will talk about his latest book, “I Finally Bought Some Jordans,” a collection of essays. Levine will showcase the latest TikTok trends in the “TikTok Made Me Try It” segment.
Kyra Sedgwick, an American film and television actress, is known for her starring role as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the crime drama The Closer, for which she won a Golden Globe and an Emmy Award. Sedgwick has had a successful career spanning stage, screen, and television, including roles in Born on the Fourth of July, Something to Talk About, and the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. She is returning to the New York stage in the new Off-Broadway show “All of Me,” a romantic comedy with a twist of family drama. Michael Arceneaux, an American writer, is the author of three essay collections: “I Can’t Date Jesus” (2018), “I Don’t Want to Die Poor” (2020), and “I Finally Bought Some Jordans” (2024). His writing has appeared in The Guardian, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Rolling Stone, and more. Arceneaux’s work often explores his experiences as a gay man growing up in a religious household in Louisiana. His latest book, “I Finally Bought Some Jordans,” is a collection of essays that offer cultural storytelling with a humorous twist.
Brittney Levine, a style and trend expert, is known for her appearances on NBC’s Today Show, Wendy Williams, E! News, and more. She has also represented brands such as Berkshire Blanket, Luminara, and Catherine Zeta-Jones’ home décor line, Casa Zeta-Jones. In addition to her lifestyle segments, Levine is the co-host of the “Be My Neighbor” podcast, where she and her co-host Bevin Prince create a safe space for meaningful conversations.
