Shoresy Scores Early Season 5 Renewal Ahead of Season 4 Premiere

Shoresy Key Art

Turns out chirping pays off. Hulu’s Shoresy, that delightfully foul-mouthed spin-off of Letterkenny, has already been renewed for a fifth season by Crave, its Canadian home network, before its fourth season even hits the ice. While Hulu hasn’t officially greenlit the fifth season, their track record suggests they’ll follow Crave’s lead, much like they’ve done for the first three seasons.

This early renewal demonstrates considerable faith in the series, especially since Shoresy Season 4 finds the titular character in unfamiliar territory. After a career marked by questionable on-ice tactics and a cascade of injuries culminating in a double concussion, Shoresy is hanging up his skates. This significant shift raises questions about the series’ direction. Will the show focus on Shoresy’s transition to post-hockey life? Will his notorious chirping find new targets off the ice? The upcoming season will undoubtedly offer some answers.

Season 4 hits Hulu on Monday, February 26, 2025. Viewers can expect the return of familiar faces, including Jared Keeso (who also created the series), Tasya Teles, Harlan Blayne Kytwayhat, Blair Lamora, Keilani Rose, Jonathan-Ismael Diaby, Terry Ryan, Ryan McDonell, and Max Bouffard. The Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs will be back as well, grappling with the usual off-season distractions of northern Ontario summers, no doubt providing ample fodder for Shoresy’s unique brand of trash talk.

Production for Season 5 is slated to begin later this year. This news offers some solace for fans concerned about the show’s future after Shoresy’s retirement, hinting at new narrative opportunities. The show’s future looks secure.

Shoresy airs Mondays on Hulu.
