Si King will honour his late friend and Hairy Bikers co-star, Dave Myers, in a poignant documentary airing on BBC Two this Christmas. “The Hairy Bikers: You’ll Never Ride Alone,” scheduled for Monday, 23 December at 9 pm, marks the end of an era for the beloved culinary duo. The special follows a remarkable outpouring of support in June when over 45,000 motorcyclists participated in a memorial ride from London to Myers’ hometown of Barrow-in-Furness.
Myers, who passed away from cancer in February at the age of 66, shared a unique 25-year partnership with King, redefining cookery shows with their infectious enthusiasm and genuine camaraderie. This tribute not only celebrates Myers’ life but also serves as King’s final ride as a Hairy Biker. The program will feature a blend of archival footage, new interviews, and never-before-seen clips, providing an intimate look at their journey.
“The Hairy Bikers: You’ll Never Ride Alone” airs on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer on Monday, 23 December at 9:00 pm.
