Springfield’s favorite dysfunctional family returns this Sunday with a baseball-themed episode. In “Abe League of Their Moe,” Grampa Simpson and Moe Szyslak team up, but their friendship might strike out when they recruit a ringer from Macedonia.
Who is this mysterious Macedonian slugger, you ask? He’s Walkov, voiced by guest star Jamie Demetriou, and his arrival shakes up the Springfield baseball scene. Just how far will Grampa and Moe go to win? Knowing these two, probably pretty far, and in the process, the episode takes a few good-natured swings at the often-questionable integrity of America’s pastime.
Adding to the fun, “Abe League of Their Moe” features a lineup of celebrity guest voices, including Danny Trejo, sportscasters Kevin Burkhardt and Kevin Millar, plus comedian Chris Rock, and SNY’s Steve Gelbs. With a roster like that, it’s anyone’s guess how the game will play out.
