Springfield’s first family returns this Sunday with a new episode that’s sure to be a slam dunk (or maybe a whiff, knowing Homer). In “Full Heart, Empty Pool,” Homer and Grampa, an unlikely duo if ever there was one, join forces to create a sport that will supposedly knock pickleball off its throne. What could possibly go wrong?
Well, everything, naturally. Their partnership, already shaky at best, completely implodes when Homer kicks Grampa off the team, proving once again that even in the world of animated sitcoms, family dynamics can be a real sport. With a title like “Full Heart, Empty Pool”, the Simpsons will give viewers plenty to laugh about.
Adding to the fun, this episode features a roster of guest stars, including Rick Steves, Robert Smigel (as the one and only Razelton), and athletes Blake Griffin, Megan Rapinoe, and Andrew Luck, all playing themselves.
