Sister Wives “The Eleventh Hour” (TLC, Sunday, November 24, 2024)

Sister Wives Key Art

The Brown family circus is back in town, and this week’s episode of Sister Wives brings the usual mix of strained smiles and simmering resentments. “The Eleventh Hour,” as this installment is ominously titled, appears to be heavy on the tears and transitions, which honestly, is pretty standard operating procedure at this point.

Kody, ever the picture of emotional stability (not), apparently dissolves into a puddle of tears while helping Meri move out of Flagstaff. Now, I’m not saying Meri deserves an Emmy for her long-suffering wife routine, but even I have to admit a flicker of curiosity about what exactly prompted this display of Kody’s remorse. Is this genuine regret or just another performance for the cameras? Knowing this crew, it could be either.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the emotional spectrum, Christine continues her post-Kody glow-up by sharing her engagement news with her and David’s combined brood. I can only hope this joyous occasion is captured with more genuine warmth than, say, a typical Kody family meeting. We all remember those, right? The forced laughter, the palpable tension, the general aura of “we’re all contractually obligated to pretend we like each other.”

Adding a dash of awkwardness to the mix is Janelle’s first meeting with David. This has the potential to be either incredibly sweet or spectacularly cringe-worthy, and frankly, I’m leaning towards the latter. Let’s be real, Janelle isn’t exactly known for her subtle social graces, and introducing a new partner into this already tangled family web is probably going to be more complicated than assembling IKEA furniture with Kody’s “help.”

So, there you have it. Another Sunday night with the Browns. Tune in to TLC this Sunday, November 24, at 10:00 PM to witness all the awkward encounters and emotional outbursts you’ve come to expect from Sister Wives.
