Sky Arts Access All Arts Week brings art to primary schools, with special episodes of ‘Painting Birds’ and ‘Bill Bailey’s Master Crafters’ for younger viewers.
Sky Arts’ Access All Arts Week returns for its third year, offering a range of resources to primary school teachers and students across the UK and Ireland. The week-long event, taking place from June 17 to 21, aims to celebrate the arts and inspire creativity.
To coincide with this initiative, Sky Arts is airing two brand new specials: “Painting Birds: Kids Special with Jim and Nancy Moir” and “Bill Bailey’s Musical Master Crafters: Juniors.”
“Painting Birds: Kids Special” sees the popular duo of Jim and Nancy Moir joined by young art enthusiasts as they explore birdwatching and painting in everyday places, from gardens to coastlines. Jim Moir, a self-proclaimed childhood birdwatching enthusiast, will pass on his ornithological wisdom and take on a seaside painting challenge with comedian Harry Hill.
“Bill Bailey’s Musical Master Crafters: Juniors” features host Bill Bailey exploring the world of music and heritage with young musicians. The episode will also look into the skills required to maintain musical instruments.
The Kids Special of “Painting Birds” airs on June 18 at 8 pm, while “Bill Bailey’s Musical Master Crafters: Juniors” airs on June 20 at 8 pm. Both specials will be available on Sky Arts, Freeview Channel 36, and NOW.
