Sky and UKTV have signed a multi-year extension to their long-standing partnership, ensuring the continued availability of popular UKTV pay channels, Alibi and Gold, for Sky and NOW customers in the UK and Ireland.
This deal secures programming such as Murdoch Mysteries, Only Fools And Horses, and The Vicar of Dibley across Sky platforms, while also introducing new titles like The Red King and Absolutely Fabulous: Inside Out.
As part of the agreement, UKTV’s streaming service, U, will debut on Sky Glass and Sky Stream devices in the UK, marking the first time Sky customers will have access to the rebranded platform.
This move follows the transition from UKTV Play to U in July, with the app now offering nearly 8,500 hours of content. U has seen significant growth since its rebrand, with a 71% increase in weekly sign-ups and expanded offerings across drama, comedy, and entertainment.
UKTV’s free-to-air channels—U&Dave, U&DRAMA, U&W, and U&YESTERDAY—will remain available on Sky, with U&Eden joining the lineup soon.
