Is all the pre-wedding drama really necessary? Apparently so, if you’re Cori Broadus and Wayne Duece, the subjects of E!’s “Snoop Dogg’s Fatherhood.” In this Thursday’s episode, titled “With So Much Drama in the Wedding Party,” the couple’s road to the altar hits some serious potholes, with forgotten birthdays and geographically challenged bachelor/bachelorette parties threatening to derail the whole affair.

The episode follows Cori and Wayne as they embark on their respective pre-wedding festivities – he to Vegas, she to Palm Springs. Because nothing says “I’m ready for lifelong commitment” like separate celebrations in different states. This decision, predictably, seems to amplify existing tensions, suggesting that perhaps a premarital counselor might have been a wiser investment than a VIP table at a Vegas nightclub.

Adding fuel to the already simmering fire is Wayne’s apparent inability to remember Cori’s birthday. This oversight strikes a nerve, coming as it does amidst the already fraught wedding planning process. One wonders if Wayne’s gift-giving skills are as underdeveloped as his sense of occasion. Mom Shante, ever the pragmatist, attempts to smooth things over with a surprise for Cori, who appears to be questioning every life choice that led her to this moment.

Will these two make it to the altar? Or will the wedding planning pressures, coupled with Wayne’s questionable life choices, prove too much? The future, like Wayne’s gift-giving abilities, remains uncertain. Tune in to witness the unfolding drama.

“Snoop Dogg’s Fatherhood: Cori and Wayne’s Story” airs Thursdays at 10 PM on E!.
