MHz Choice is importing a buzzy Canadian crime drama for its summer slate, setting a July 8 U.S. premiere for mystery-thriller Something Undone—a dark, podcast-driven story that picked up Best Short Form honors at Series Mania in 2021.
The six-episode series was created, written, and headlined by Madison Walsh (Hudson & Rex, The Expanse) and Michael Musi (Kim’s Convenience, All My Puny Sorrows), who play Jo and Farid, a true-crime podcasting couple whose latest assignment drags them into the orbit of a decades-old murder—and a deeply buried family secret.
Set in rural Ontario and originally produced for CBC Gem, Something Undone leans into audio horror and psychological suspense as Jo, back home to settle her late mother’s estate, uncovers unsettling tape recordings that tie into the 1989 killing of a young family. What starts as research for a new podcast soon spirals into personal risk for both leads.
The U.S. release puts the series in front of MHz Choice’s niche-but-loyal base of international drama viewers, with the full season streaming via the platform’s standalone app and its Prime Video Channels add-on.
The cast includes Billy Campbell (Cardinal), Amanda Brugel (The Handmaid’s Tale), Kyra Harper (Orphan Black), Shawn Doyle (Big Love), and Nicole Power (Kim’s Convenience).
