Southern Charm Season 10 Premiere “Raising Cane” (Bravo, Thursday, December 5, 2024)

Southern Charm Key Art

A decade in, Southern Charm returns to Bravo, proving the enduring appeal of watching privileged people make questionable choices. The tenth season premiere, “Raising Cane”, finds the Charleston crew attempting to tackle the rocky terrain of fractured friendships and the inevitable party fouls.

Shep, Austen, and Craig, seemingly perpetually on the verge of a bro-down meltdown, strive to mend fences after a tumultuous year. Their efforts toward reconciliation, however, appear about as genuine as a politician’s campaign promises. Can this trio actually bury the hatchet, or are they simply postponing the next inevitable explosion?

Meanwhile, Madison throws a Carolina Cup party, because what’s Southern Charm without an opulent gathering and a healthy dose of awkward interactions? But even the most meticulously planned soiree can’t withstand the arrival of an unwelcome guest: an incredibly uncomfortable gift for Miss Patricia that threatens to derail the festivities. One can only imagine the exquisite shade that Miss Patricia will unleash upon the unfortunate gift-giver.

Since its 2014 debut, Southern Charm has offered a voyeuristic glimpse into the lives and loves of Charleston’s elite, chronicling political ambitions, entrepreneurial endeavors, and romantic entanglements that often resemble a slow-motion train wreck. Social status and reputation, naturally, remain paramount. This season, the central question is whether these Charmers can genuinely move past their grievances, or if their attempts at forgiveness are as thin as the veneer of civility that barely masks their underlying resentments.

Southern Charm airs Thursdays at 9:00 PM on Bravo.
