Spooked Ireland: Wicklow Jail (Travel, Friday November 1, 2024)

Chris Fleming, the American medium with a penchant for the paranormal, heads to Wicklow, Ireland, to investigate a jail with a rather ominous nickname: “The Gates of Hell.”

Joined by Vogue Williams and his team, Fleming aims to tackle the alleged spike in spectral activity plaguing this small coastal town’s prison. I imagine the locals are thrilled to have a camera crew and a self-proclaimed medium poking around their supposedly haunted correctional facility.

The premise, while not exactly original (haunted jail, spooky nickname, etc.), has a certain appeal. Will Fleming uncover actual evidence of paranormal activity, or will it be the usual assortment of unexplained noises and suggestive shadows?

The Irish setting offers a change of scenery from the usual American ghost-hunting locales, and the Emerald Isle’s folklore adds a bit of flavor to the proceedings.
