Food Network’s “Spring Baking Championship” returns this Monday with a vibrant episode titled “The Magic of Spring Colors.” Host Jesse Palmer has a few surprises up his sleeve for the eleven remaining bakers, and this week’s challenges are all about embracing the season’s hues.
First up: a towering madeleine challenge with a twist. The bakers must not only construct edible sculptures out of these delicate French cookies but also incorporate assigned tea flavors into their creations. Expect a blend of architectural ingenuity and flavor balancing – a tricky combination, even for seasoned bakers.
Next, the contestants turn their attention to a springtime classic: cheesecake. But this isn’t your average dessert. Each baker must create a rainbow cheesecake, featuring a different fruit flavor and, of course, a vibrant rainbow swirl baked right inside. Judges Duff Goldman, Kardea Brown, and Nancy Fuller will be looking for both visual appeal and taste.
