NBC’s mockumentary sitcom “St. Denis Medical” returns this Tuesday with an episode that looks to be equal parts chaotic and thought-provoking. “Listen to Your Ladybugs” finds the staff of the perpetually underfunded hospital facing a fresh round of absurdity.
Joyce, never one to shy away from a well-intentioned yet slightly off-kilter initiative, launches a women’s health campaign that, shall we say, yields some unexpected results. Meanwhile, Ron finds himself treating a patient who claims to have all the answers – a situation ripe for comedic potential – and Bruce spirals into an existential crisis, perhaps brought on by the daily grind of working in a hospital that’s constantly teetering on the brink of collapse.
“St. Denis Medical” thrives on its quirky characters and the often-absurd situations they find themselves in. “Listen to Your Ladybugs” seems to double down on this formula. Expect awkward patient interactions, questionable medical advice, and plenty of deadpan humor. Will Joyce’s initiative go off the rails? Can Ron handle a know-it-all patient? And will Bruce emerge from his existential funk?
