The doctors of St. Denis Medical are trading stethoscopes for microphones in this week’s episode. When a famous musician’s performance at the hospital is delayed, Joyce seizes the opportunity to organize a staff talent show.
Meanwhile, Alex continues her quest to connect with her daughter, Ella, likely with awkward and hilarious results. Given the general dysfunction of St. Denis, this attempt at family bonding will probably go about as smoothly as a heart transplant performed by a janitor.
For those unfamiliar, “St. Denis Medical” is a mockumentary chronicling the daily struggles of an underfunded hospital and its eccentric staff. Think “The Office” with bedpans and slightly higher stakes. Not much higher, mind you.
