Scrublands BBC Four Secures Gripping Australian Crime Thriller

Scrublands: Silver, the second season of the Stan Original Series, has started production in the picturesque town of Augusta, Western Australia. Based on Chris Hammer’s bestselling novel of the same name, Silver continues the story begun in Scrublands.

Luke Arnold and Bella Heathcote reprise their roles as investigative journalist Martin Scarsden and his partner, Mandy Bond. In the new season, Martin and Mandy move to Martin’s coastal hometown of Port Silver, WA, aiming for a fresh start. However, their peaceful plans are shattered when Martin’s childhood friend, Jasper, is brutally murdered and Mandy becomes the prime suspect. As Martin looks into the case, he uncovers dark secrets about Port Silver and is forced to confront his long-buried past.

The series boasts an impressive supporting cast, including Luke Carroll, Debra Lawrance, David Roberts, and Tasma Walton.

Scrublands: Silver is a collaborative effort between Stan and the 9Network, co-produced by Easy Tiger and Third Act Stories. It is directed by Ben Young and the writing team includes Felicity Packard, Fiona Kelly, and Jock Serong.
