This week on Stan Sport, the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europe League and UEFA Europa Conference League continue – with every game from Matchday 3 streaming ad-free, live and on demand only on Stan Sport.

Stan Sport has assembled a top-class commentary team to cover Atlético Madrid v Liverpool (Wednesday 5:35am AEDT) and Manchester United v Atlanta (Thursday 5:35am AEDT) with Max RushdenCraig Foster and Mark Bosnich leading the coverage.

English Premiership rugby continues this weekend with plenty of Aussies set to feature in Round 5, including London Irish trio Rob Simmons, Adam Coleman and Curtis Rona, as well as Leicester’s Harry Potter.

FEATURE MATCH: ATLÉTICO MADRID V LIVERPOOL
WEDNESDAY 20 OCTOBER
LIVE ONLY ON STAN SPORT FROM 5:35AM AEDT

This is a mouth-watering matchup between the top two teams in Group B. Liverpool are first following a 3-2 win over AC Milan and a 5-1 rout of Porto. Atletico, meanwhile, drew 0-0 with a 10 man Porto in their first match then beat AC Milan – who also had a player sent-off – 2-1 in controversial circumstances after an injury time goal.

Atlético have home advantage as Liverpool look to avenge their elimination in 2019, when Atlético memorable knocked the Premier League giants out at the Round of 16.

The match will also be a chance to see Mohamed Salah, who is in excellent form with 9 goals and 3 assists in 9 matches this season, come up against Atlético’s formidable defence.

FEATURE MATCH: MANCHESTER UNITED V ATALANTA
THURSDAY 21 OCTOBER
LIVE ONLY ON STAN SPORT FROM 5:35AM AEDT

Manchester United responded to their shock 2-1 opening loss against Young Boys by beating Villarreal 2-1 to sit third in Group F.

Serie A side Atalanta are top of the group after a win and a draw, and are known to play some of the most entertaining football in Europe.

Cristiano Ronaldo will again be a must-watch for United and the Portugal ace is in fine touch after netting a hat-trick in World Cup qualifying against Luxembourg this week.

CELTIC V FERENCVAROS
WEDNESDAY 20 OCTOBER
LIVE ONLY ON STAN SPORT FROM 1:30AM AEST

Celtic are desperate to get off the mark in the Europa League after a 4-3 loss to Real Betis and a 4-0 hammering against Bayer Leverkusen left them bottom of Group G heading into this clash.

Celtic’s former Socceroos coach Ange Postecoglou is under the pump in Glasgow given the ‘Hoops’ also sit sixth in the Scottish Premiership.

Hungarian club Ferencvaros are also winless after losing 2-1 to Leverkusen and 3-1 to Betis.

SPARTAK MOSCOW V LEICESTER CITY
THURSDAY 21 OCTOBER
LIVE ONLY ON STAN SPORT FROM 1:30AM AEST Leicester are hunting for their first win of the Europa League group stage following a 2-2 draw with Napoli and a 1-0 loss to Legia Warsaw.

Brendan Rodgers’ club is also struggling in the Premier League where they sit 13th of 20 teams.

There has also been the distraction of Newcastle United attempting to lure Rodgers to their club although the manager is reportedly planning to stay with Leicester.
