STARZ has revealed additional cast members for its new series Spartacus: House of Ashur, a follow-up to the popular Spartacus saga. Dan Hamill, Andrew McFarlane, and Jackson Gallagher are among the latest actors joining the production, alongside Jaime Slater and Simon Arblaster. The series, currently filming in New Zealand, will bring these characters to life in guest star roles across a 10-episode season.
This latest chapter reimagines the fate of Ashur, portrayed by Nick Tarabay, asking what would have happened if Ashur had survived Mount Vesuvius. The plot explores his rise to power after gaining control of the gladiator school once owned by Batiatus, setting the stage for a thrilling, alternate history that merges intense drama and unexpected twists.
Spartacus: House of Ashur is produced by Lionsgate Television for STARZ, with Steven S. DeKnight, creator of the original Spartacus series, serving as showrunner and executive producer.
