Stephen Colbert Takes The Late Show on the Road

Stephen Colbert is taking his late-night talk show, The Late Show, on the road for the first time this summer. On the April 19, 2024, episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, he announced that the show will broadcast from Chicago’s Auditorium Theatre during the week of the Democratic National Convention.

Colbert shared a sentimental reason for choosing Chicago as the destination, stating that the city holds “a special place” in his heart. He reminisced about his 11-year stay in the Windy City, where he honed his craft as part of the famous second city troupe.
