Stephen K. Amos Eliminated from I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Australia
Last night (Wednesday), Stephen K. Amos became the latest celebrity to be sent packing from the “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!” jungle in Australia.
Amos, 56, a British comedian is a well-known figure in the UK and Australia, having toured the world with his stand-up comedy since 2001. He has also made frequent appearances on comedy panel shows like “QI,” “Mock the Week,” and “Have I Got News For You.” Beyond comedy, Amos has taken on dramatic roles, appearing in productions like “My Fair Lady” and “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.”
During his time in the jungle, Amos opened up about his fears, which included heights, water, creepy crawlies, and slimy things. Ironically, he faced his fear of water head-on when he almost drowned in a terrifying moment. Luckily, he was given some swimming instruction from fellow contestant and ironwoman Candice Warner.
Amos also shared some serious moments, revealing a scar on his face that resulted from an assault during his student years. He also discussed his experiences with racial violence.
Amos dedicated his time in the jungle to his mum and twin sister, who passed away 18 months apart from each other. He aimed to raise awareness and funds for palliative care, with his chosen charity being the Banksia Palliative Care Service.
With his signature wit and tenacity, Amos embraced the challenges thrown at him by hosts Robert Irwin and Julia Morris. He took on tasks like the Jungle Express, H2H Tip Top, and the Get Ready To Crumble pie challenge.
I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Australia continues Thursday 18 April 2024 at 7.30pm on Channel 10.
