Things got even messier when Emily revealed to producers that she had previously matched with Mike on a dating app — and blocked him over crude messages. With a Couples Cove gathering looming, that tension is on a collision course.
Jess and Sam were the opposite story at first. A fast burn, steamy and physical. Then Sam hit the brakes, leaving Jess rattled. Her comment, “chemistry is easy, but falling in love is hard,” felt less like an insight and more like a warning.
Elsewhere, Amy and Mike clashed in a heated exchange after she accused him of misogynistic comments, which he denied. But the vibe stayed icy, and that pairing is clearly on the ropes.
Emanuel and Dani started from confusion — he didn’t even recognise her from their earlier speed date — but found unexpected common ground after being separated by a storm. A tentative connection, but one of the few with actual potential.
Tom, to his credit, acknowledged his tendency to cut and run in relationships and claimed he’s trying to change. Whether that holds up under pressure remains to be seen.
Sam also opened up about his late father, prompted by a message from his mum, adding rare emotional weight to his storyline with Jess. But vulnerability doesn’t guarantee compatibility.
