I have always striven to help them be the very best dancers they can be. This has always come from a place of love and wanting to win – for me and my dance partners. The dancer’s statement comes in response to reports that the BBC has launched an investigation into allegations made against him. Notably, legal firm Carter Ruck has claimed they are in contact with the broadcaster regarding “numerous serious complaints” about Pernice’s behaviour. However, the BBC has not released an official comment on the matter.
