Channel 9’s ‘The Sunday Footy Show’ moves its broadcast base to Adelaide this weekend, airing directly from the centre of the AFL Gather Round festivities. Footy followers can tune in this Sunday, April 13th, at 10:00 am AEST on Channel 9 and the 9Now streaming platform for the special edition.
Host Tony Jones will be joined by the show’s familiar faces – Matthew Lloyd, Damian Barrett, Nathan Brown, and Adelaide’s own Rory Sloane. Their main task will be to review the outcomes and talking points from the AFL’s Round 5 matches, covering the significant results, unexpected turns, and player injury news emerging from the weekend’s games.
Adding to the discussion directly from the Gather Round location will be several figures from football and beyond. Port Adelaide great Gavin Wanganeen, Australian cricketer Alex Carey, Western Bulldogs forward Cody Weightman, Adelaide Crows player Darcy Fogarty, and AFLW competitor Matilda Scholz are all slated to appear with the panel.
