Superman & Lois: A Regular Guy

Superman & Lois Key Art

Look, we all know Clark Kent’s disguise is less effective than a pair of Groucho glasses at a comic convention. But in the upcoming “Superman & Lois” episode, “A Regular Guy,” airing Monday, November 11, on The CW, the Smallville grapevine seems particularly active. The Man of Steel’s secret identity appears genuinely at risk. This isn’t just the usual “someone saw a blur” situation. This time, things feel a bit more serious.

The potential reveal isn’t solely due to Lex Luthor’s machinations or some interdimensional villain. Nope, this one hits closer to home. Clark’s sons, Jonathan and Jordan, with their teen-aged obliviousness and superhero adjacent drama, are major factors in this precarious situation. Their actions look likely to contribute to their father’s unmasking. Just another Tuesday in Smallville.

While Clark wrestles with his super-dad anxieties, Lois Lane faces her own newsroom drama. Chrissy Beppo has some, let’s call them “interesting” ideas about the Smallville Gazette’s direction. We don’t know the specifics, but let’s just say Lois isn’t exactly thrilled. Change is in the air, but whether it’s for better or worse is anyone’s guess.

This seventh episode of “Superman & Lois” season four was directed by Gregory Smith and penned by Katie Aldrin and George Kitson. The title, “A Regular Guy,” is a bit of ironic foreshadowing. Clark’s desire for a normal life is about as achievable as a Kryptonite-proof sweater.

Superman & Lois: A Regular Guy airs Monday, November 11, 2024 at 8/7c on The CW.
