Suplex: Danish Murder Mystery Premieres July 4 on PBS Masterpiece

Suplex Key Art

A wrestling coach under arrest. A wife who no longer believes him. Suplex, a new Danish miniseries, lands Friday, July 4, on the PBS Masterpiece Prime Video Channel and Walter Presents.

The six-part drama follows Lars, a small-town coach accused of killing a young wrestler found dead in the woods. His wife Charlotte, played by Josephine Park, is already grieving the loss of their son. Now she’s questioning everything about her marriage. Lars is played by Jakob Cedergren, who anchors the show’s growing unease with a quiet, unpredictable edge.

Charlotte works at a local school and is in a secret relationship with Thomas, the detective leading the case, played by Zaki Nobel Mehabil. When Lars becomes the main suspect, Charlotte begins to doubt everything. She launches her own search for the truth, knowing the consequences could shatter what’s left of their family.

The show is set in Vesterløv, a town where everyone seems connected. Tensions surface as long-held secrets come under scrutiny. What starts as a police case quickly unravels into something more personal, with reputations, loyalties, and livelihoods all at risk.

Suplex joins the Walter Presents line-up of international dramas now streaming for US and Canadian audiences.
