Essentially “Survivor” is all about betrayal. It’s baked into the DNA of the show. But even by “Survivor” standards, this Wednesday’s episode, “Coconut Etiquette,” looks like it’s going to deliver a hefty dose of paranoia and backstabbing.
One castaway faces a classic “Survivor” dilemma: stick with their alliance or make a risky move that could pay huge dividends – or blow up spectacularly in their face. Meanwhile, a separate journey takes another castaway away from the main group, giving them a chance to seize a significant advantage. The risk, of course, is that their absence will fuel even more suspicion and mistrust amongst the tribe. And if that weren’t enough, a different castaway seems determined to throw even more kindling on the fire, actively stoking paranoia within the group.
