Swamp People: The Aftermath (History, Thursday, January 30, 2025)

Swamp People Key Art

Nature’s fury meets Louisiana grit. This week on “Swamp People,” airing Thursday, January 30th, at 8:00 PM ET on History, the swampers are picking up the pieces after Hurricane Francine tears through their hunting grounds. In “The Aftermath,” the gators aren’t the only formidable foes; the ravaged landscape itself presents a whole new set of challenges.

Ronnie and Timmy are in a desperate race against time and rising water levels, attempting to snag their remaining tags before the gators seek refuge on higher ground. Meanwhile, Troy and Pickle face off against a legendary cannibal gator they’ve affectionately dubbed “Jigsaw.” Yes, you read that right: a cannibal gator named Jigsaw.

Elsewhere, Bruce and Anna venture deep into the swamp’s more treacherous corners, hunting for elusive “monsters.” Their ambition, however, might be their undoing, as dwindling water levels threaten to strand them far from civilization. Jacob, with Little Willie at his side, is playing catch-up after the hurricane’s disruption, while Don and Calum must contend with a sinkhole that threatens to swallow them whole (presumably along with any gators in the vicinity).

The swamp, it seems, has been thoroughly reshuffled. Whether this leads to increased danger or unexpected opportunities remains to be seen. One thing is certain: these swampers are nothing if not resourceful. Tune in to History this Thursday to see how they adapt and overcome.
