Swamp People: Catch and Cook (History, Thursday, February 27, 2025)

Swamp People Key Art

Family rivalries are as much a part of Louisiana life as gators and gumbo. This week on Swamp People, the competition gets extra spicy – and possibly crabby – thanks to a gator-hunting throwdown. Joey and Kallie Edgar are squaring off against Daniel and Zak Catchem in a good old-fashioned family feud to see who can rack up the biggest gator haul. The losers? They’re on kitchen duty, peeling and prepping crab for the winners’ celebratory feast. Let’s just say some folks might be hoping for small gators and big appetites.

Meanwhile, Don and Calum are showing off their knot-tying prowess. They’re trying to impress Troy Landry with a new technique meant to snag those monster gators Troy favors. Will their fancy knots hold up under pressure, or will they end up with more tangles than trophies?

And speaking of family, Ronnie’s taking his 98-year-old grandfather out for a special hunt. A little rain isn’t going to stop this heartwarming generational outing. It’s a reminder that Swamp People isn’t just about wrestling reptiles; it’s about family traditions passed down through generations.

But don’t think everything’s sunshine and crawfish boils in the swamp. Bruce Mitchell is facing a tough situation. With Anna sidelined by a nasty infection, he’s forced to hunt solo. He’ll need to push himself to the limit to keep their gator-hunting season from sinking.
