In this episode of Swamp People: Serpent Invasion, airing on HISTORY on Thursday May 9, Troy and Tes race against a mounting storm; Zak and Bruce battle an invasion of deer-eating beasts; Ashley and Kaylyn search for a legendary monster; and Dusty hatches a daring plan to strike it rich.
The episode opens with hunters returning to the Everglades, only to find that the enemy has transformed. Giant female pythons have learned to hide from their pursuers, allowing them to breed faster than ever. Now, the swampers must venture into the beasts’ secret lairs and remove them before the glades are lost forever.
Troy Landry, the “King of the Swamp,” teaches his longtime alligator-hunting partner, Pickle Wheat, the intricacies of python hunting. Meanwhile, veteran snake hunter Bill Booth and Florida native Tes Lee must set aside their differences and work together to curb the python population. Elsewhere, Zak and newcomer Aaron hunt pythons in an ancient canal system, pushing their skills to the limit. Dusty Crum, facing the fight for the Everglades at his doorstep, must devise a strategy to protect his home.
With time running out to save the Everglades, the hunters race back to known python hotspots to track down the most elusive beasts.
