Swamp People “Snapping Back” (History, Thursday, January 9, 2025)

Swamp People: Blood and Guts Key Art

The bayou is a harsh mistress, and in “Snapping Back,” the second episode of “Swamp People’s” 16th season, the hunters face a particularly daunting challenge: an impending hurricane season. Airing Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 8:00 PM on History, the episode finds the swampers attempting to maximize their hauls during a fleeting window of calm before the storms hit.

Troy and Pickle roll the dice by venturing into the sugarcane fields, a hunting ground teeming with gators but also fraught with peril. Leron and Porkchop, never ones to shy away from a challenge, brave the ominously named Scary Bayou, hoping its reputation is more bark than bite. And Daniel, ever the innovator, brings a fresh face, Zak Catchem, into the fold, adding a touch of youthful exuberance to the veteran crew. Their budding rivalry should inject some levity into the proceedings.

With the ticking clock of hurricane season adding pressure, the swampers must weigh the risks and rewards of each hunting expedition. Will their gambles pay off, or will they be left empty-handed when the storms inevitably roll in?

“Swamp People” airs Thursdays at 8:00 PM on History.
