On this week’s premiere of Taking One for the Team, former NBA player Iman Shumpert hosts a new seven-part docuseries exploring the sacrifices athletes make for their teams. The show, produced by Andscape, a Black content studio from Disney and ESPN, is a comedic take on often embarrassing moments in sports.

Shumpert guides viewers through personal stories, using animations and testimonials to highlight the emotional core of team dedication. The first season features guests such as Mekai Curtis from Power Book III: Raising Kanan, former New York Giants player Ahmad Bradshaw, and Denver Broncos defensive end John Franklin-Myers.
