Continuing her New Year’s “Thrive” series, Tamron Hall returns with another episode aimed at helping viewers achieve their personal growth goals. This time around, she’s focusing on healthy living and inspiring transformations, offering a slightly different flavor of self-help.
First, author and self-described “life doula” Brandi Sellerz-Jackson will break down what she calls the “four great labors” of life. I’m not sure what those are, but hopefully childbirth isn’t one of them. We’ll also hear from Jeanine Rogers, whose life was apparently turned around by Sellerz-Jackson’s guidance.
Then, nutrition and fitness expert Mark Macdonald tackles the pervasive “dieting madness” that grips the nation every January. He’ll be preaching the gospel of blood sugar control, which, honestly, sounds less thrilling than a kale smoothie. But hey, health is wealth, right?
Finally, we get a dose of real-life inspiration with Amanda Hines, who shed over 80 pounds through indoor cycling and now teaches the very classes that transformed her. It’s the kind of feel-good story we need after the holiday excess.
This episode is another installment in Tamron’s “Thrive Challenge,” will it offer a real roadmap to self-improvement, or just a temporary boost of motivation? Tune in to ABC on Friday, January 3rd to find out.
Tamron Hall airs on ABC, weekdays.
