“Taskmaster” is back on Channel 4 this Thursday, kicking off its 19th season with a fresh batch of comedians willing to endure strange and often messy challenges for the amusement of viewers – and the ever-judgmental gaze of Greg Davies.
This season’s lineup features Fatiha El-Ghorri, Jason Mantzoukas, Mathew Baynton, Rosie Ramsey, and Stevie Martin, each with their particular brand of comedic madness. In “Sometimes Spit,” their skills will be tested with tasks involving – of all things – vinegar, raisins, and peas. Yes, you read that correctly.
With Alex Horne as the dutiful taskmaster’s assistant and Greg Davies perched on his throne of judgment, “Taskmaster” continues to be a masterclass in pointless competition and unexpected hilarity. The new season begins Thursday, 1 May at 9:00 PM GMT on Channel 4.
