Taylor Sheridan’s “Special Ops: Lioness” First Look Paramount+

Written by Academy Award® nominee Taylor Sheridan, “Special Ops: Lioness” (formerly titled “Lioness”) stars series lead and executive producer Zoe Saldaa, as well as Nicole Kidman, Laysla De Oliveira, and Morgan Freeman.

The first official photo and title for the upcoming espionage thriller SPECIAL OPS: LIONESS (formerly known as LIONESS) were released by Paramount+. The original series comes from Academy Award® nominee Taylor Sheridan and features performances from series lead and executive producer Zoe Saldaa, as well as Nicole Kidman, Laysla De Oliveira, and Morgan Freeman. MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios created SPECIAL OPS: LIONESS solely for Paramount+.

What is the series about

Cruz Manuelos (De Oliveira), a rough-around-the-edges but passionate young Marine, is the protagonist of SPECIAL OPS: LIONESS, a thriller based on a real program about a team of women recruited to infiltrate a terrorist organization from within. Saldaa will play Joe, the station chief of the Lioness program who is responsible for mentoring, supervising, and guiding her team of female spies.

Who is making the series

SPECIAL OPS: LIONESS will also star series regulars Dave Annable, Jill Wagner, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan, Austin Hébert, Jonah Wharton, Stephanie Nur, and Hannah Love Lanier with Emmy Award® nominee Michael Kelly in a recurring role. The series is executive produced by Taylor Sheridan, David C. Glasser, Zoe Saldaña, Nicole Kidman, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, Jill Wagner, Geyer Kosinski, Michael Malone and John Hillcoat.

The series is the latest addition to Sheridan’s growing slate on Paramount+, which includes 1923, 1883, MayOR OF KINGSTOWN and TULSA KING, as well as the upcoming series LAWMEN: BASS REEVES and LAND MAN.
