In the final episode of The 1980s Supermarket: Posh Food Revolution, viewers will be treated to a delightful exploration of the contrasting shopping baskets of the yuppies and the budget-conscious families of the 1980s. The nation’s growing love for coffee is also examined, with a look at how coffee sales overtook tea for the first time. The iconic Nescafé Gold Blend adverts and the emergence of long-life fruit juices that didn’t need refrigeration are also highlighted.
