The 2024 ESPY Awards (ABC, Thursday, July 11, 2024)

The ESPY Awards, an annual celebration of excellence in sports performance, returns to ABC for its 2024 edition, broadcasting live from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California. The awards recognize outstanding athletic achievements and sports-related performances during the preceding calendar year.

This year’s ceremony will honor several notable individuals for their achievements and impact. Former NFL safety Steve Gleason will receive the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage, a testament to his courageous battle against ALS. University of South Carolina women’s basketball head coach, Dawn Staley, fresh off an impeccable 38-0 season and an NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship title, will be presented with the Jimmy V Award for Perseverance.

Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, will be recognized with the Pat Tillman Award for Service. This award acknowledges his tireless efforts in positively impacting the veteran community through sports.
