Michael Fassbender CIA Thriller ‘The Agency,’ Coming to Paramount+ with SHOWTIME November 29

The espionage thriller The Agency, starring Michael Fassbender, is set to premiere on Paramount+ with SHOWTIME on November 29. The two-episode launch will be available for streaming and on-demand, with international releases following in the UK, Canada, Australia, Italy, Germany, Latin America, and Brazil. Japan’s premiere is slated for next year.

Based on the acclaimed French series Le Bureau des Legendes, The Agency follows Fassbender’s character, a CIA operative codenamed Martian, as he grapples with the realities of love, identity, and high-stakes espionage. Returning to London Station after a deep-cover assignment, he finds his life further complicated by a rekindled romance, which threatens to unravel his carefully constructed world.

The series boasts a powerful ensemble cast, including Jeffrey Wright, Jodie Turner-Smith, Katherine Waterston, and Richard Gere. Hugh Bonneville guest stars, alongside recurring cast members David Harewood and Tom Vaughan-Lawlor.

The Agency is a collaboration between Showtime Studios and 101 Studios, with international co-distribution handled by Paramount Global Content Distribution and Federation Studios.

Executive producers include Keith Cox, Nina L. Diaz, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, George Clooney, Grant Heslov, Alex Berger, Ashley Stern, Pascal Breton, Michael Fassbender, Jez and John-Henry Butterworth, and Joe Wright. Butterworth also serves as writer, with Wright directing the first two episodes.
