An intense psychological journey back to 1896 New York City is in store with the arrival of The Alienist Seasons 1 & 2 on U. This high quality series stars Daniel Bruhl as Dr. Laszlo Kreizler, a criminal psychologist, Luke Evans as newspaper illustrator John Moore, and Dakota Fanning as Sara Howard, a determined secretary and is based on the novels by Caleb Carr.
When a series of gruesome murders of boy prostitutes rocks the city, newly appointed police commissioner Theodore Roosevelt (Brian Geraghty) assembles a secret team to investigate. Joining Dr. Kreizler and John Moore is Sara Howard, who aspires to become New York City’s first female police detective.
Using emerging psychological insights and early forensic techniques, this band of social outsiders sets out to find one of the city’s first serial killers. The cast also includes Douglas Smith, Matthew Shear, Matt Lintz, Robert Ray Wisdom, and Q’orianka Kilcher.
