WE tv has announced a new reality series, The Barnes Bunch, which will follow the lives of NBA Champion Matt Barnes, his fiancée Anansa Sims, and their blended family. The series will premiere on Friday, April 19, with new episodes airing every Tuesday on the AMC streaming service ALLBLK
Matt Barnes and Anansa Sims are both prominent figures in their own right. Barnes, a successful former NBA player and ESPN analyst, also hosts a popular podcast. Sims, a model and reality personality, often steals the spotlight with her appearances on reality shows. Now, the couple is set to share an inside look at their lives as they navigate a complex blended family dynamic.
Both Barnes and Sims have children from previous relationships. Barnes has two kids, while Sims has three. Together, they share a young son, Ashton Joseph Barnes. The series will capture the couple’s journey towards marriage, including the planning of their engagement party and wedding, amidst the chaos of their busy lives.
A key presence in the series will be Sims’ mother, Beverly Johnson, a supermodel and New York Times bestselling author who often lends her support to the couple.
WE tv’s Head of Content, Brett Dismuke, shared his excitement about the series, emphasizing the engaging and entertaining personalities that viewers can expect to see: “The WE tv audience expects engaging, entertaining and boldly relatable personalities alongside talked about and explosively fun storylines. Matt, Anansa and their family and friends deliver on all notes.”
