Damian Barr hosts the sixth season premiere of The Big Scottish Book Club, recorded with a live audience during the Edinburgh Festivals at the Leith Theatre.

Jackie Kay, poet and writer, joins the show to discuss her newest work, May Day, a collection of poetry. Julian Clary, entertainer and children’s writer, marks a decade of The Bolds, a six-book series about a unique family of hyenas living as humans. The episode also includes an interview with international bestselling author Elif Shafak, who provides insight into her latest novel, There Are Rivers in the Sky.
