Despite not condoning Sheila’s actions, Hope understands Finn’s grief and offers him support. Their bond deepens as they navigate their shared pain. Meanwhile, at the crematorium, Deacon is shocked to discover that the body believed to be Sheila’s has more toes than she should have, leading him to question his own sanity.
At the same time, Deputy Chief Baker informs Steffy that she has been cleared of any wrongdoing in her actions against Sheila. This revelation brings new complications as it confirms that Sheila is indeed alive. Elsewhere, Hope makes a change at Hope for the Future, pairing Luna and Zende together. Luna becomes anxious about working with Zende, especially after their recent encounter.
The episode also explores the dynamic between Deacon and Finn, as Deacon, tormented by his encounter at the crematorium, gives Ridge an earful about Sheila. Ridge, however, offers Deacon a reality check, prompting Deacon to reflect on his obsession with Sheila.
