THE CATCH: A Gripping UK Thriller Premieres 28 July on BBC FIRST

A new UK thriller series, titled The Catch, is scheduled to make its debut later this month on BBC First and Binge. Consisting of four episodes, this adaptation of a popular novel by TM Logan boasts a talented cast that includes Jason Watkins, Poppy Gilbert, and Aneurin Barnard.

The Catch explores the harrowing journey of a fisherman (Watkins) whose seemingly ordinary family life takes a dark and unexpected turn when his daughter becomes involved with a dubious new partner.

Against the backdrop of the picturesque south-west coastline of England, this nerve-wracking drama delves into themes such as toxic masculinity and the weight of grief.

Alongside the lead actors, Cathy Belton and Brenda Fricker also appear in pivotal roles in the series.
