Season 40 of The Challenge continues with the third episode, titled “A Fatal Era” and the focus is on the aftermath of elimination, as the eras must put aside their differences and unite to protect their team from the threat of elimination.
The Challenge 40: Battle of the Eras is the 40th season of the MTV reality competition series The Challenge. It features alumni from The Real World, Road Rules, The Challenge (US), Are You the One? (US), Big Brother (US), Survivor (US), Love Island (US and UK), Survival of the Fittest, and Exatlon (US), competing for a $1 million prize.
The contestants are split into four teams based on which season of The Challenge they debuted on. The teams are:
– Seasons 1-10: Tina Barta, Katie Cooley, Aneesa Ferreira, Brad Fiorenza, Derrick Kosinski, Mark Long, Rachel Robinson, CT Tamburello, Darrell Taylor, and Jodi Weatherton.
– Seasons 11-20: Derek Chavez, Nehemiah Clark, Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio, KellyAnne Judd, Ryan Kehoe, Aviv Melmed, Brandon Nelson, Emily Schromm, Cara Maria Sorbello, and Laurel Stucky.
– Seasons 21-30: Tori Deal, Amanda Garcia, Leroy Garrett, Jonna Mannion, Nia Moore, Tony Raines, Averey Tressler, Devin Walker, Cory Wharton, and Jordan Wiseley.
– Seasons 31-39: Paulie Calafiore, Theo Campbell, Kaycee Clark, Michele Fitzgerald, Horacio Gutiérrez Jr., Olivia Kaiser, Josh Martinez, Nurys Mateo, Jenny West, and Kyland Young.
The season premiered on 14 August 2024, with a launch special titled “Eras Only” airing on 7 August 2024.
The Challenge: A Fatal Era airs Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at 8:00 PM on MTV.
