In the thirteenth episode of The Chi’s sixth season, titled “Legacy,” airing on Monday June 10 on Paramount+ with Showtime, Douda’s birthday sparks emotions, and Emmett and Kiesha confront new problems.
The episode sees Douda (Curtiss Cook) celebrating his birthday, with the festivities stirring up a range of feelings among the characters. Emmett (Jacob Latimore) and Kiesha (Birgundi Baker) face fresh challenges, with Emmett’s carefree life taking an unexpected turn.
Meanwhile, Ronnie (Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine) continues to seek redemption, this time at a mosque where he encounters Rafiq (Common). Kevin (Alex Hibbert) tries to prevent his best friend from going down a dark path, and Brandon (Jason Mitchell) branches out on his own.
“Legacy” also sees Quentin (Steven Williams) returning to town to launch his own investigation, and Emmett’s shoe hustle going awry. The episode ends with Ronnie facing his past crimes and Brandon’s plan to finance his business hitting a snag.
