In The Derbyshire Auction House on Monday night, Irita Marriott and her team take on new challenges as they continue to establish Britain’s newest saleroom.
This week Irita discovers a unique vase while sorting through an antique shop, and she also assists two brothers in selling their late parents’ antique collection.
Irita’s expertise is highlighted as she appraises a Uranium glass vase, a rare and fascinating find. Uranium glass, also known as Vaseline glass, is characterised by its yellow or green colour and a fluorescent glow under a black light, which is caused by the presence of uranium oxide in the glass.
Plus Irita meets with two brothers who are looking to sell their late parents’ antique collection. This emotional journey involves not only valuing the items but also providing support and guidance to the brothers as they part with cherished possessions and navigate the auction process.
The Derbyshire Auction House: The Italian Job airs on Really at 9:00 pm on Monday, 5 August 2024.
