The Drew Barrymore Show has been renewed for a sixth season on CBS, with significant time slot upgrades in several key markets, as announced by Wendy McMahon, president and CEO of CBS News and Stations and CBS Media Ventures.
The early renewal for the daytime talk show, hosted by actress and producer Drew Barrymore, will see it through to the 2025-2026 season.
First launching in 2020, The Drew Barrymore Show has established itself as a unique and positive presence in daytime television. The show offers a blend of celebrity interviews, lifestyle segments, and feel-good content, all delivered with Barrymore’s distinctive warmth and spontaneity.
This fall, the series will move to more prominent time slots on CBS stations in multiple markets, including New York, Dallas, Boston, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Miami. Additionally, the show will air on the NBC affiliate station in Houston, further expanding its reach.
These changes will take effect when the show returns for its fifth season on Monday, September 9.
McMahon highlighted the show’s success, stating, “Many of these upgrades now pair Drew with a CBS Mornings lead-in, which has proven to be a powerful combination.” The show has performed particularly well in markets where it airs directly after CBS Mornings, seeing a 21% increase in total viewers.
The Drew Barrymore Show is currently averaging 1.1 million viewers, with nearly 6 billion minutes watched this season. It has also shown strong digital and social media engagement, with significant growth on Facebook and Instagram.
The show is produced and distributed by CBS Media Ventures and is filmed in New York City, with Drew Barrymore and Jason Kurtz serving as executive producers.
