HBO’s The Gilded Age continues to expand its already sprawling cast for its third season, currently filming. Six new actors are set to join the fray, setting the stage for even more drama and societal clashes and potential scandal to the world of 1880s New York high society.

Among the newcomers are Dylan Baker, Kate Baldwin, Michael Cumpsty, John Ellison Conlee, Bobby Steggert, and Hannah Shealy. While details about their specific roles remain under wraps, Deadline reports that the characters will include a society doctor, a nobleman, a businessman, and — perhaps most intriguingly — famed artist John Singer Sargent. Additionally, Shealy is set to portray Charlotte Astor, daughter of the formidable Mrs. Astor, adding another branch to the show’s intricate family tree.

These six actors join the previously announced Season 3 additions of Phylicia Rashad, Jordan Donica, Brian Stokes Mitchell, and Victoria Clark, indicating that the show is likely to bring an even larger and more intertwined narrative in its third season. This latest influx of talent further bolsters an ensemble already packed with heavy hitters like Carrie Coon, Christine Baranski, and Cynthia Nixon.

While a premiere date hasn’t been revealed, the show was renewed in December 2023, demonstrating HBO’s continued faith in the Julian Fellowes-created series. The Gilded Age has captured viewers with its opulent costumes, elaborate sets, and a depiction of the era’s societal power plays.

The Gilded Age Season 3 is expected to air in 2025 on HBO.
